Which size
The Small and Medium buddies are easy for a toddler to carry around the flat. The Jumbo and XL are long enough to lie alongside in bed or on the sofa, and the XL case runs to 86cm. Each product page lists the exact case dimensions.
Washing and spare cases
A buddy that goes everywhere gets grubby, so the case comes off and goes in the wash. Cases are sold separately in every size, which means one can be on the pillow while the other dries, a real consideration in Singapore's humidity.
When a child is ready for one
Not in the first year. Safe-sleep guidance keeps pillows, soft toys and loose bedding out of a baby's cot until twelve months. After that a buddy works as a daytime comfort object, and many children start sleeping with one somewhere between eighteen months and three years, often with the move to a bed.
